Patrick Beverley had his highest scoring game since joining the Bulls after the trade deadline as he scored 16 points in the win against the Rockets.
His presence on the team is something that was needed, according to his teammate Zach LaVine. Chicago is 5-3 since Pat Bev joined the team.
“Energy. Heart. Toughness. Vocal,” LaVine said when asked what Beverley brings to the team, per K.C. Johnson. “He gets us going. You can see how much he cares about winning and his teammates. We definitely needed someone like that. It shows with the impact he has on the game.”
The Bulls are chasing a spot in postseason. With 15 regular season games left to play, Chicago is 10th in the Eastern Conference with 31 wins and 36 losses.
Interestingly, Beverley has never missed the playoffs. And he intends to continue the tradition in his hometown.
