Davis suffered the injury in the first half against the Denver Nuggets on Friday. The big man apparently got hurt when he landed awkwardly after a layup attempt under the basket in the first quarter, although he kept playing until halftime. Davis had X-rays at the arena and was still undergoing more evaluation on Sunday, according to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski.
Davis missed the second half with a right foot injury, but the Lakers (12-16) still produced some of their prettiest team basketball of the season down the stretch, beating the Nuggets 126-108.
Davis is averaging 27.4 points, 12.1 rebounds and 2.6 assists with the Lakers this season.
