The Detroit Pistons have added former NBA players Rashard Lewis and Keith Bogans to their coaching staff. The two will serve as player development assistant coaches under the leadership of Dwane Casey.

Lewis, 43, is a two-time NBA All-star who won back-to-back titles with the Miami Heat last decade. Known for being a renowned deadly stretch four during his playing days, Lewis will take his act as a coach for the first time after previous robust stints of playing in BIG3 basketball.

Meanwhile, Bogans was an 11-year NBA vet who played for nine different teams. He previously served as an assistant for the New York Knicks in the 2019-2020 season. Prior to that, he also filled the said position of its G League affiliate Westchester Knicks from 2017 to 2019.

Both Lewis and Bogans were seen coaching already for the Pistons’ Summer League participation this early offseason.

Besides the two, Detroit called up other new coaching additions in the likes of former Boston Celtics assistant Brandon Bailey and Brittni Donaldson.

With a promising core surrounded by trustworthy veterans, the Pistons had a splash this summer and appears a must-watch team to possibly have a breakout campaign this 22-23 season.
