Maxi Kelber has played his seventh game after nearly a three-month absence due to an injury. The 31-year-old German power forward made a buzzer-beating three-pointer to send the Mavericks past the Lakers (111-110).
He took the big shot after a pass from his new teammate Kyrie Irving. Kleber described the 2016 NBA champion as a great teammate who brings positivity to the team.
“He knows how to talk to people, where to set up people, sees the strength in players and knows what to expect them to do,” Kleber said about Irving, per Mark Medina. “He’s a very, very great teammate. He always has positive spirits and has uplifting words.”
