John Salley played in one of the most illustrious eras of the NBA, winning four championship rings in the process. Incidentally, before playing with MJ, he played for the Bulls’ biggest rivals, the Detroit Pistons. Recently, during an appearance on All the Smoke podcast, Salley recalled that Jordan showed no mercy while playing against them, pulling disrespectful moves against his opponents. The former Pistons star then went on to describe an instance when His Airness dunked over him.

All I could remember or all I was thinking is, in my park if you get dunked on they took your sneakers,” said Salley on what he was feeling after getting dunked on by MJ. He further added, “and I just sat there and said ‘I am gonna hear it.’”

The then-Pistons star described his feelings on how his siblings would make fun of him after the game ends. He also mentioned how the six-time NBA Champion’s dunk was unstoppable. Apparently, Salley tried to get a hold of his face to stop the dunk but MJ still dunked on him. The Pistons legend had said to himself at the time, “He got my a**” as he made peace with MJ’s insane capabilities.
