Brooklyn Nets forward Cam Johnson admitted that it was an off-night shooting for him and his team as they fell against the Denver Nuggets this Sunday, 108-102.

Johnson felt that the Nets got great looks to capitalize their shooting, but luck and consisteny didn’t appear on their side.

“They felt good,” Johnson said, per Sharif Phillips-Keaton of USA Today. “I’m sure everybody who shot him, but they felt good today. There’s not going in right now.”

Brooklyn entered the weekend bout sitting at the top four in the league in three-point efficiency, shooting 38.3 percent from the field collectively.

But their hands went cold as they faced the Denver team, draining just 34.3 percent (12-of-35) of all their attempts from downtown.

“I can only speak on myself personally, but it’s life as a basketball player,” Johnson added. “You know, if it was easy, everybody would be shooting threes and making them so, you got to weather storms and continue to shoot. But, you know, it’s tough because I thought we had a lot of good looks tonight.”

The Nets will look to regain their hot shooting as they face the Cleveland Cavaliers on Tuesday.
