Death threats

“I had a ball boy threaten to kill me over the Russell Westbrook injury,” Beverley told The Pat Bev Podcast.

“I get to OKC the next game, the police officers in front.”

“They put a police car in front of my house in Houston. I get to the hotel, I’m on the floor by myself. They passing out papers of a young guy’s face. He threatened to kill me.”

How did Patrick Beverley injure Russell Westbrook in the 2013 Playoffs?

Westbrook was about to call a timeout when Beverley lunged at him in an attempt to steal the ball, accidentally hitting the Thunder star’s knee.

Despite Westbrook‘s injury, the Thunder ended up beating the Rockets 4-2. However, they lost in the second round to the Memphis Grizzlies (4-1).

Beverley has plied his trade at the Houston Rockets, Los Angeles Clippers, Minnesota Timberwolves and Los Angeles Lakers. This season he is averaging 4.6 points, 3.7 rebounds and 3 assists.
