A Former Warriors Rookie Recalls How, During a Timeout, He Forced Stephen Curry to Spit Water on the Court

The Warriors’ Stephen Curry is one of the nicest players in the game, up to the moment that he is provoked, at which point he turns into someone else. When this happens, Curry becomes one of the least charming players in the game.

During the 2019 NBA Playoffs, the Warriors’ dynasty was supposedly brought to an end. When Kevin Durant tore his Achilles tendon, signed with the Brooklyn Nets, and Klay Thompson hurt his anterior cruciate ligament, things were not looking good for the Bucks.

After five years of sweeping the NBA, the Warriors had the other teams in the league very concerned. When the Dubs were in a vulnerable position, each of them took turns attacking them. In spite of all that took place, the talking heads and teams seemed to ignore Stephen Curry’s brilliance.

Players on other teams would go up to Steph and taunt him because they thought they were capable of performing at the same level as he did. However, the finest shooter in the history of the game doesn’t need to respond vocally since he just allows his game to do the talking for him.

During the NBA season of 2020–21, the Los Angeles Lakers played at home against the Minnesota Timberwolves, and this happened. Nico Mannion describes how he got Stephen Curry to spit in his face by using water as bait.

The use of foul language is not known to be a trademark of Stephen Curry. In his everyday life, he does not speak. The Dubs were enjoying a comfortable lead against the Wolves until Malik Beasley made two or three straight three-point shots, which resulted in the Dubs being forced to call a timeout. After that, he got closer to the bench that the Dubs were sitting on before going “BOOM.”

Steph’s feelings were hurt by this, so she decided to make amends by returning the favor. Because he was unable to convert a few of his own efforts at three-pointers, the Wolves were forced to take a timeout. After that, Curry walked up to their bench and yelled “BOOM” in a very loud voice.

After the halftime break, Steph was seen drinking some water before making her way back onto the court. During that time, young Nico Mannion approached Steph with a desire to hear another “BOOM.” This made the two-time Most Valuable Player laugh, which led to him spitting water all over the field.
