1 Crazy Statistic For Warriors’ Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson

The Golden State Warriors have experienced plenty of great times with Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson manning the backcourt together. The aptly named Splash Brothers are by far the best shooting teammate duo in the history of the NBA.

Alas, this season has not showcased many of those shooting nights for the duo, at least for Thompson. He has struggled mightily, as he had more shot attempts than points heading into last weekend. But, something seemed to click for him against the New York Knicks last Friday.

Thompson got into a rhythm early on and rode that throughout the evening. He went 8-of-16 from the field and 4-of-10 from 3-point range, as it was the first time this season that Thompson made at least 50 percent of his shot attempts in a game.

That momentum he created was carried over into the team’s next game against the Houston Rockets. The Warriors won their first road game of the season in that contest and Thompson was a big reason why.

The former All-Star had his best game of the season, scoring 41 points as he shot 10-of-13 from 3-point range and 14-of-23 overall. It was awesome seeing Thompson find the shooting stroke that has abandoned him thus far this season.

As pointed out by StatMuse, that was the sixth time in his career that Thompson made at least 10 3-pointers in a single game. The only player with more in their career is Curry, who has reached that plateau 22 times. No other player in the NBA has had more than three games making that many 3-pointers.
